Superfood Morning

40-60ml filtered water

1 large mango chilled or frozen (ripe, texture fibre-free)

1 Teaspoon coconut oil (cold pressed, organic)

1 Tablespoon flaxseed oil (cold pressed, organic)

1 Tablespoon hemp seeds

1/2 Teaspoon Matcha green tea powder

10 – 15 Goji berries (use good organic quality, should be slightly moist and soft)

a handful raspberries


To make it:

Cut and peel the mango. Place 40ml of filtered water with mango, coconut oil, flaxseed oil and 3/4 of the hemp seeds into your high-speed blender, preferably a Vitamix for the best smooth and silky texture. Select Variable 1 and slowly increase speed to Variable 10 for 30 seconds. Add Matcha and if needed 20ml of water. Blend for another 30sec. Transfer the cream into a bowl and sprinkle with the rest of the hemp seeds, gojis, and raspberries.

Eat right away! As mango changes in taste when stored for to long. Feel free to add / change seasonal fruit for topping.

are regarded as the longevity superfood. They have anti-inflammatory properties, are strength building, stimulate the production of growth hormone, are  a rich source of antioxidant, contain all essential amino acids, boost the immune system, improve vision, are good for heart and brain health.


Note:
Superfoods rich in omega-3 fatty acids (such as flaxseeds, hemp seeds) should be taken together with coconut oil to increase the effectiveness of omega-3!

Mango:
alkalizes the body. It is rich in pre-biotic dietary fiber and enzymes which aid digestion, it has antioxidant properties. It is an excellent source of vitamin A (antioxidant and vision) and carotenoids such as beta-carotene (powerful antioxidant) as well as vitamin C (antioxidant and immune booster) and B6 (heart disease prevention).

Flaxseed oil:
is a high source of omega 3, good for brain function, lowers cholesterol, antioxidant

Matcha Green Tea Powder:
is made out of the whole leaf. It is an antioxidant powerhouse. It boosts energy and metabolism, detoxes the body, is rich in fiber, provides vitamin C, zinc, magnesium.
