Banana Bliss
1 large ripe frozen banana, peeled, quartered, organic
30g fresh spinach, organic
10g fresh parsley, organic
1/2 vanilla bean pulp or 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract
1-2 Tablespoons almond butter, organic
150ml fresh almond milk, unsweetened
Notes:
I suggest you make your own almond milk. By simply soaking raw almonds in filtered water for 8-12 hours or overnight the nutritional value is maximized and they are way easier to digest. Rinse almonds very well before blending.
To make the Banana Bliss:
Blend all ingredients together in your high-speed blender, place almond milk first. I recommend a Vitamix to achieve the most creamy, silky, delicious texture. Turn the dial to 1 and slowly increase speed to 10. Blend for 30 seconds until desired consistency is reached
Banana Bliss is a bright, creamy and nutritious smoothie for a happy and powerful jump into your day and into your workout.
Bananas:
are a good source of both vitamins and minerals, as well as fiber. They contain a good amount of potassium, strengthening the heart and nerves, as well as the important amino acid tryptophan, helping to boost your mood. Bananas are high in antioxidants and magnesium and amongst athletes are also known for prevention of muscle cramps.
Feel free to add more dark leafy greens to this smoothie. Your body will thank you for the extra amount of chlorophyll.
Chlorophyll:
is the „life blood“ of plants and gives them their distinctive green color, helps them convert energy from the sun and is good for your body from the inside out. Chlorophyll has plenty of great benefits, to name a few:
- it has antioxidant properties, protects cells and aids wound healing
- neutralizes toxins
- can help fight infection
- it is blood building
- controls body and mouth odors
- its fiber keeps the colon healthy
Enjoy this delicious, happy healthy treat!
