Immune Boost Smoothie
2 apples, organic, roughly chopped
juice of 1/2 lemon, organic
10g fresh ginger
1 Teaspoon turmeric / or freshly grated turmeric root
1 Tablespoon honey (organic, unheated)
100g almonds, soaked for 8-12 hours or overnight in filtered water and washed thoroughly
80ml filtered water (add 100ml instead of 80ml if you prefer your smoothie to be more liquid)
pinch of ground black pepper
To make the Immune Boost Smoothie:
Blend everything together (water first) in your high-speed blender. I recommend a Vitamix blender to achieve the most creamy, silky, delicious texture. Select Variable 1 turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 9 for 60sec, if you prefer your smoothie warm start from Variable 1 and slowly increase speed to Variable 10 for 2 minutes.

Lemon:
The healing benefits are due to its antioxidant, antibacterial, antiseptic properties. It is known as a treatment for throat infections, indigestion, constipation, high blood pressure and helps to flush out toxins from the body. Has an alkalizing effect on the body due to a high alkaline mineral content; it contains magnesium, calcium and potassium and is a rich source of vitamin C.

* Black pepper enhances the absorption of Turmeric!
